Why Gros Morne, Newfoundland?
-
It's one of only a handful of places on Earth where you can walk on exposed mantle rock. The Tablelands reveal part of the Earth's mantle that normally lies deep beneath the planet's crust, making Gros Morne one of the world's most significant geological sites.
-
The breathtaking landscape has been shaped by glaciers over millions of years. The park's dramatic fjords, valleys, and towering cliffs were carved by ancient glaciers, creating scenery unlike anywhere else in Canada.
-
It's home to some of Newfoundland's most iconic wildlife. Watch for moose grazing along the roadside, bald eagles soaring overhead, playful foxes, woodland caribou, whales offshore, and countless seabirds.
-
It's where the mountains meet the Atlantic. Breathe in crisp ocean air, listen to the waves roll onto rugged coastlines, and experience the slower pace of life that's made Newfoundland famous around the world.
What Guests Are Saying
"I loved every moment of my time at Transform! This retreat was the perfect mixture of wellness, healing, and adventure. It was everything I wanted but what surprised me was realizing how much I NEEDED it. In this fast paced life of always being on the go and always wanting more, Transform provided the space for me to unplug, recharge, connect to my deep truth and enjoy the beauty of simplicity.
Â
Waking up on the most beautiful permaculture farm, foraging the most DELICIOUS foods, and pulling carrots out the Earth with the most adorable farm animals around was the medicine I didn’t know I needed. Because of this experience I know one day I’ll own my own farm! Pure bliss. Not to mention the breathtaking beauty of Gros Morne where time feels like it stands still. The waterfalls, the hikes, the food! It’s all just so good. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Transform and Gros Morne have a piece of my heart forever. Thank you Tara for creating this magical experience, it is so so needed in this world!"

"This was my first retreat and I felt like I gained a lot by going. There were such a wide variety of wellness exercises and learning activities throughout the week that I learned something new each day.
Â
I also thought the logistics, accomodations, activities, and food components of this retreat were crafted with a lot of care. Not only did these ensure the participants were treated well, I also liked how it reflected values like sustainability and supporting a wide range of small businesses in the community. Â
Â
Lastly, Tara was a very knowledgeable, considerate and hard working guide throughout the retreat. She not only shared a great amount of knowledge relating to nature and mental wellness, but also about the culture, destinations, and local affairs. She was flexible with the schedule depending on the group's needs and had creative solutions for when weather or other external circumstances conflicted with what was planned. The other guides were also very warm and lovely people, which made it easy to feel comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this retreat."
